Can we manage and edit order line item properties in Shopify?

Hi Shopify,

Does Shopify have any plans on letting merchants manage/edit line item properties of orders? A lot of customers want to change orders (which is why Shopify has an edit order feature) and merchants can't edit orders without either refunding the customer or or using apps that completely mess up their accounting, making it impossible to reconcile sales and payouts. Shopify has created a choice between good customer service and good accounting practices. 

It's amazing that Shopify introduced line item properties so that we can offer more customization to customers. However, merchants need the ability to edit orders for customer service and most importantly accounting.
