Financing, tax rates, and accounting
My store sells food, which is tax exempt in Canada. How can I override all tax settings? I have set up an exemption for all existing products, but if I add a custom item it defaults to charging tax, which often gets missed and then I need to delete or edit order. The online articles say there is a way to say you don't collect tax, but I can't find a place to do that.
Help much appreciated!
thanks
Christine
Hi @christinewilson,
If you do not need to charge any sales tax to Canadian customers for any products in your store, you can leave your Canadian taxes set as "Not collecting" in Settings > Taxes. Do you know if this is what appears here, or is it set to "Collecting"?
