Different VAT rates for some products

Hi,

Most of the products that we sell are VAT rated at 20%, but we have a number of products that are only liable for 5% VAT. Is this not possible to specify in Shopify?

Hi there,

I believe this is what you need to do: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/taxes/tax-overrides#override-the-taxes-on-a-collection-or-on-ship...

To sum it up with my own words:

1. Create a new collection (eg: tax overides). You can leave it unaivailable, it does not matter.
2. Put inside this collection all products with specific tax
3. Go to settings => Taxes => Select your country
4. Follow the steps as in the image bellow

   

   

In this case, the tax will change for each products that belongs to the "tax overide" collection.

Hi Max, 

I read but I couldn't fix my issue, to resume it :

/context
I sell beer bottles on Shopify
It includes both the beer liquid as the bottle ( empties)

/ Problem
When I sell a beer 2,5 VAT included it actually needs to be split, for accounting purposes as following
- 2,4 VAT 21% sale
- 0,1 VAT 0% sale ( for the empties)

/ How do I do this in Shopify ? 
Is there any app that could split it ?
