Yes you have to charge taxes. What ever sales you are generating from US at the end you need to file taxes for that. So don't miss it. Else you will be in trouble.

No, i have not talked to any accountant what so ever. I just read a lot of articles online and saw a bunch of videos and most of them lead me to the canada revenue agency for the canada trade and for the US which is were my business is based, it said i cannot charge taxes outside of my state.

NO, You only charge Canadian sales taxes if your business is registered to collect sales taxes in Canada.

Dear Mr. Jai Choudhry

I am in India. I place the order to China suppliers and sell in US, Canada & EU.  How do I manage my taxes? Please help in detail if you can. Thanks.

This makes sence, I am from Canada and have a HST account but does it go the other way to? If in Canada I do not charge tax in any other country like the US? when I order goods on line in the US  to be shipped to me, sometimes I have to pay duty and tax when the package is delivered but sometimes not. Very confusing but don't want to make a mistake with the government. LOL

I can't see opening a tax account in every country you sell to.

If your in Canada selling to the US - No you do not charge Canadian taxes GST/HST ect.

Selling and shipping to different Provinces:  If your in Ontairo and selling/shipping to Alberta you shound not be charging the HST because Alberta does not have a "harmonized tax" they pay only GST, you as the supplier in Ontari should only be charging GST.  however If I am in Alberta and Shipping to Ontario I MUST charge the customer the HST . In the words of the CRA it's the desitantion that counts for tax calculation NOT the origin.

On-line for our US counter parts no if someone orders a product from you in say California you should not be charging us for and of your taxes.  However if a Canadian comes into your store and buys from you yes.... you have to charge us taxes.
