Does adding a third party payment method require a tax ID?

When I want to add third party payment method... I go sign up and everything but then it says I need to put in a tax ID? 

Does this mean I first need to go through everything thing to get a tax ID in my country... So that I can add a third party payment method

Some payment providers will require a tax ID in order to verify your business and to report your earnings to your local government. It would be best to speak with a local tax consultant to determine if you need a tax ID. If you do need one, then they can provide you with the steps needed to obtain the tax ID. 

If you're unable to obtain a tax ID, or if it's deemed that you don't need one, then I would recommend contacting the payment provider you intend to use to determine if you are able to bypass the requirement to provide a tax ID.
