Draft order calculates tax twice

Hi, when I create a Draft Order the price of product is GST (tax) inclusive, however then the draft order adds GST on the items at the end of the invoice. So in effect the customer is being charged tax twice? I don't want to set up a discount as I use this field for my trade customers and give them discounts.

How can it set it up just like a Customer generated order the tax is not charged again and it is GST included at the end of the invoice.

Can someone assist so I don't have to manually alter each individual item?

Hi @Metala,

Thank you for getting in touch with your issue. This certainly sounds like it shouldn't be happening, but could be due to a mis-configuration in your tax settings. Can you tell me if you have your prices set to be tax-inclusive in Settings > Taxes? Can you also tell me which country you are based in and where the customer used in the draft order is based? I assume you are in India as you have referenced GST, but I just want to confirm that.

Hi Victor, thanks for getting back to me. 

I am in New Zealand and all orders are currently for NZ customers as well. Yes I have the settings set to tax-inclusive as customer generated orders work fine to my website, but not draft orders which I generate where GST is then added on again. Shall I send you an example or assuming you know what I mean?

Hi Helen,

 

Thank you for getting in touch. Have you enabled the option to include taxes in the prices of the products on your store? Do you have any apps installed on your store that may be adding tax to your orders?
