Financing, tax rates, and accounting
Has anyone received their 1099k forms for 2023 yet? I haven’t heard anything from Shopify and can’t get ahold of anyone regarding this. There’s 3 days left of this month. What is going on? This can’t be legal.

Hi @Lmbesch,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community. I'm happy to provide some information regarding taxes, to ensure this gets resolved.
1099-K forms are expected to be sent out to merchants that qualify towards the end of February. While there is no specific release date, the Account Owner can keep an eye out for our email.
To qualify for this form, shops are required to meet the federal threshold. This includes receiving more than 20,000 USD in gross payments and having more than 200 transactions on Shopify Payments. To learn more about this criteria, you can check out our 1099-K Forms document as it touches on this further.
Emails will be sent to the Account Owners email address, and only the Account Owner can find the form within the Shopify admin. If you don't receive an email by the beginning of March and believe you qualify for the form, please feel free to Connect with us directly. This will allow our support team to take a closer look, as we wouldn't have access to any account specific information through the Community.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

End of Feb is here and still no 1099k. This is ridiculous
It’s absolutely ridiculous. How can big companies like Etsy & PayPal manage to get theirs out by Jan 31 as legally due, but the end of Feb is here and Shopify still hasn’t gotten us ours as promised
Total BS. The Government requires the 1099K form to be sent in with Corporate taxes yet Shopify feels like it's no big deal if they don't provide the form on time.
In other-words I cannot file my taxes until the form is available.
I have found in the past that the Shopify transaction amount and the 1099K amount differs.
Talk about raising red flags with the IRS.
With the fees Shopify charges they should be able to hire people or develop technology to get this to sellers in a timely manner.
April and I still dont have my 1099-k
