Financing, tax rates, and accounting
Was just about to set up local taxes rule within the EU. I have seen the option to do this before, but now I only see option for it by upgrading to advanced??? Has shopify raised the demand from Standard to Advance without notyfying us as a customer that the possibility will be removed???
To clarify, we are a swedish based store that mainly sells in Sweden, Germany and Denmark. All EU countries. But since we will be selling for more than 10 000 EUR to neighbour-markets (DE and DK) we need to register for OSS (one stop shop) when it comes to declaring VAT. Denmark has the same VAT percentage as Sweden (25%) but germany for instance, they have 19% VAT, so this needs to be changed now that we have OSS. Anyone experienced the same problem? Looking at the plan comparisons now, I can swear on that the manage taxes was on Standard plan before, but now only available for advance. @Anonymous ??
I can't answer that as we are on the advanced plan
We are a U.S. based company and have just discovered that this option is no longer available. We are required by law to pay local taxes as well as state taxes and removing this feature has a tremendous impact on our accounting. I've looked through all of their documentation and have had numerous support calls and "email support" (complete waste of time) and have been told that upgrading will not offer these features either.
