How can I change my Shopify plan without losing features?

Hey I’m currently on an older(early 2023) Plan. I’m looking to upgrade to the Shopify plan.
When I go to upgrade I see this

This store is on a plan that is no longer offered and some of its features aren’t available on other plans. If you pause the store or switch plans, you won’t be able to return to it later.”

is there anyway to know what features I’d lose?

also I see this:

If your store is on the Basic Shopify plan or the Shopify plan and you change your subscription billing period from monthly to annually, then your shipping carrier information resets and you need to enter account information for each carrier.”

im currently billed annually, so if I upgrade will my shipping be fine? I really don't want to have to redo all my shipping as it’s fairly complicated on my site.

If it does reset is it just the general shipping profile or everything?

does it reset the locations/items back to nothing or just the rates and service types?

Hey, @trucranems!

It sounds like you have carrier-calculated shipping enabled on your current annual plan, is that correct? This feature can still be included if you're upgrading to the annual Shopify plan.

To confirm which features are part of your current plan, please reach out to our team via the Shopify Help Center. You can let the virtual assistant there know that you're looking for account support, and it should lead you to the available contact options. For security reasons, I'm not able to view your account or plan details from here, but our team in the Help Center will be able to confirm for you exactly what will change when you upgrade.

Upgrading plans should not completely erase your shipping settings like zones and profiles. However, if you have carrier-calculated shipping enabled and were switching to a plan that didn't include it, those rates wouldn't be active anymore. Our team can make sure that your shipping settings are still intact after switching plans.
