Re: duplicate receipt?

How can I duplicate a receipt in the POS app?

One workflow shortcut that is very useful to us in QBPOS is the ability to duplicate a receipt. I see that you can do this in the back end (Duplicate Order) Is there a way to do this in the POS app? It would make life much easier if we had this. I hope I am just missing where to do it.

You can set the number of receipts you want printed in  settings, printed receipts

Just realized my wording wasn't clear - this is not a printing question.

I meant duplicate the contents of a receipt into a new order in the POS - rather than re-entering that list of items. This is something we often have use for and it seems to not be available in the POS app. In the back end, you can duplicate a PO or duplicate and order

Hi @DaphneOlive

This is a great feature request and I can definitely see the benefit in it. At this time this is not something that is included in the Shopify POS interface, but I am happy to submit this feedback to our developers for further consideration. For now the best option would be to duplicate the order via the Shopify admin and update the customer information before saving it.

I would really appreciate you submitting this to the developers. I promise that as more brick and mortar stores switch from QBPOS to Shopify POS, you will hear more and more complaints. It is a very basic basic need we have to be able to offer good customer service to our customers - which is really how small businesses survive. We have to take care of our customers and that shouldn't be at the expense of our ability to have seamless inventory and accounting functions - which feels like a very basic thing on Shopify's part to offer good customer service to us
