How can I match sales to payouts with a SKU-based report?

Is there a report when you can export the order information by sku with the sales info after fees so it matches back to the payout? Or the transactions on payouts

Currently, it's not possible to achieve this through Shopify's built-in reports.

Have you been able to find a solution? If not, I would recommend our app Better Reports for this.

This type of report is possible with Better Reports but there are a few logical limitations based on how the data is structured in Shopify. Transactions are not linked to the content of the order, so if an order has multiple transactions (ex.: paid both in cash and credit cards) there is no way to know which product was paid by which transaction.

However, we can override this with a few assumptions and get very close to the payout amount at a product level, which I believe you are looking for.

In addition to this, Better Reports has more than 60 built-in reports available out of the box that covers many common use cases for merchants. You can schedule reports to run at set frequencies to your email or Google Drive or export the reports in CSV, Excel or PDF format.
