Financing, tax rates, and accounting
Hey all,
Our wholesale clients e.g. Bars, botlestores usually use accounting software we need to send an invoice to, but also need to send the invoice to their staff for stock take. They can manually forward the email but we regularly get asked to just send the invoice to the two addresses.
Is there a way to give a customer 2 different email addresses that are both notified?
So far I have tried using a mailbox Invoices@xxxxx.com and then putting the customers e-mail address in Shopify as invoices+venuename@xxxxx.com . Then use rules in that mailbox to auto forward the invoices to different addresses based off the venue name. This seems to get it flagged to junk or not get the emails sent intermittently.
Any ideas on how to best solve the problem would be greatly appreciated!

Hey, @spicemerchant.
Thank you for joining the thread.
I understand that you'd like to be able to set up secondary email recipients and most mailing clients do offer a way to forward emails to another account. However, if you prefer doing this directly on Shopify, then you can explore a third-party app called Softify: Easy Invoice+. If you need to get help with a third-party app, then the app developer is always available to assist you. Simply reach out to them using the contact information found at the bottom of their app's page.
Here are some mail clients with forwarding features:

Hey, @Spinchair.
Thank you for reaching out and posting this question!
I'm afraid there isn't a way to send email notifications to two separate email addresses for a single order/customer. However, I understand why you need such a functionality, and I'd be happy to share your feedback as a feature request with our development team. If Shopify moves forward with any changes to the email notifications for customers, then we'll be sure to announce them on the Shopify Changelog.
That being said, it's worth noting that having your clients forward their own emails is the recommended process, as the sender (in this case you) could be flagged for "spamming" by the recipient's email server if you send too many emails in a short period of time. It's also easier for your clients to set up email forwarding than it would be waiting for a platform update, and they'll be able to set up the forwarding to multiple recipients as well.
I noticed that you're a new member of our Shopify Community! I'd love to hear more about your experience so far and share some resources to help you get started!

Dear Shopify.
Unfortunately, the answer to every shortcoming should not be to spend more money on an additional app. B2B customers almost ALWAYS require that an invoice be sent to both the buyer and the accounts payable department. Literally, almost without fail. For this to not be resolved within the Shopify B2B software is unfathomable. I often feel like the only thing that the B2B app actually addressed was the addition of NET 30. Yes. You may have noticed that I am frustrated.
I did manage to figure out how to send the actual invoices to additional ccs, but it is a manual process that involves opening a second window to check my metafield for accounts payable email address and pasting it into the cc option on the invoice. However, this option is not available on the payment reminder notifications, so the very department that must receive this email is not. It goes only to the buyer, and I think we all know what they do with invoice emails.
Please. This desperately needs to be a new feature on the B2B side of Shopify.
Strongly agree. A customer account, esp. B2B, should be able to set up secondary emails that receipts/invoices are CC'd to.
