Financing, tax rates, and accounting
Hi,
I have a Danish shopify site, we have updated our website, put in a new product and now, when
people purchase, Shopify adds "estimated taxes" on top of our price to any purchase made by the customers.
Our price on the website is including VAT, so when my customers suddenly get charged 25% on top of our price, that pisses them off.
What I need is Shopify to show that the of the price they get charged "X Amount" is VAT, not automatically adding VAT on top.
I can remove the "Charge tax on this product" but then it says nothing...
Hey, @PatrichHP
Great question. There isn't a built-in way to display how much of your product's price, is made up of the taxes built-in. You would likely need to look into a third-party custom coding solution to edit your product pricing templates to display that. Otherwise, I'd recommend removing the 'charge taxes on this product' and just ensuring you have 'Tax included' displayed in your product title, description or cart page.
If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.
