I have a parent company that has 1 EIN but I have 2 Stores. Should my sales tax reporting be based on both stores? Currently only 1 of my stores has reached any threshold for filing requirements.
Typically, everything is based on EIN. So if you have two stores within one EIN, sales in one count for sales in the other as far as tax reporting. So you should probably report them together and sales in one count for sales in the other when considering economic nexus. I'd definitely recommend just giving your nexus state a call and asking them what they think, they are usually very helpful in my experience.
