Financing, tax rates, and accounting
I just copied my Etsy store to Shopify, and I am working on the design. But I realized that I need to figure out how tax collection works before I can publish the store. Can anyone explain how tax collection works? I don't know anything about this.
Also mine is a fabric store, I wonder what category I should select for my products for tax collection purpose. Should I do tax collection myself or use some kind of service? I have about 1k products and prefer some auto functions if possible.

We work with Fabric shops.
Tax collection depends on your customers location.
If you sell from California to Texas you need to charge Texas tax.
You really need someone to help you with store setup with an emphasis on tax and product uploads.
