Financing, tax rates, and accounting
The payee information on my 1099K does not match my business details. The 1099K is addressed to my personal name, using my SSN instead of my EIN. Additionally, the address provided is different from the one registered on Shopify, adding to the confusion. Despite reaching out to support, I have only received a response stating that the tax team has reviewed my information and confirmed its accuracy, which contradicts the issues I am facing. I am concerned about potential penalties for submitting late or incorrect information, which is a financial burden I am unable to bear.
Hi @BiancaJMS,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community. I'm sorry to hear about this and would be happy to provide some guidance on how you can proceed.
When it comes to account-specific inquiries like this, you will want to connect with us directly. This will allow you to follow up with us on your open ticket, as we’re unable to provide account-specific support via the Shopify Community. Our support team will be able to confirm the appropriate steps have been taken to ensure that your 1099-k document includes the correct information.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
