Financing, tax rates, and accounting
Currently our store does not include tax in prices but we want to include it.
We checked the option to include tax but the prices didn't update and when we added products to a cart it said the displayed price (which is the ex VAT price) included taxes.
If we want the displayed price to be inclusive of tax, do we have to update all the prices of the products/variants to their price including tax? If so, that seems like a massive inconvenience. Also, we use the Cost per item so that would affect the profit figures.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes, you'll need to update the prices of all products/variants to include taxes, as the displayed price should be the total amount including taxes. This may be a cumbersome process, but it is necessary to ensure accuracy in pricing. Updating cost per item may affect your profit figures, but this will reflect the true cost of the products including taxes. You could consider using a spreadsheet or a bulk editing tool to make this process more efficient.
