I turned off charging tax on shipping but Shopify is still including it

But when customers are checking out, they are being charged tax on the subtotal and freight costs. Anyone else having this issue and successfully resolved it?

Thank you for getting in touch with your question. Can you tell me more about these "freight costs" you've referenced, please? Are these shipping rates you've added in a shipping profile in Settings > Shipping and delivery, or are these additional costs you require customers to pay alongside shipping charges? If possible, could you potentially share here a screenshot that shows the part of an order that includes a tax charged on the shipping/ freight fees?
