Incorrect Order Total is shown with tax

I have an item with price 499 (INR). There is a 5% GST tax which is applicable on the item but the tax is included in price. Based on the tax calculation the tax shows as 23.76 in the order details page as well as in the thank you page. Tax calculation is correct. However, the total is shown as 522.76 (499+23.76). If the tax is included in the price, the total should be 499 only and not added to it. This value is shown both in the order details page as well as in the thank you page which seems to be completely wrong. 

Please let me how this issue can be fixed. Screenshots attached for the order view page and the thank you page as well as the tax settings.
