I have a client getting incorrectly applied taxes on pickup orders. The main issue is some of the are correct and some are applying a lower tax rate than what is needed. I think this might have to do with some specific products.
They sell their own products as well as others, I'm noticing the orders with the incorrect taxes have their products and its always pickup related. Most orders are coming through correctly.
Have you seen this happen before? I'm happy to provide more details?
Thanks,
Erik
Hi @efuson
Yes, that's possible if product tax overrides or custom tax rules are applied too selectively. Verify the tax configuration for impacted products—e.g., "tax override" or "taxable" options are all toggled off. The easy way to handle it: create a product tag (e.g., pickup_tax_fix) and use a script or app to apply correct pickup tax logic.
Hi @efuson
Yes, this can occur if product level tax overrides or category based tax settings are used in inconsistent manner. Temporary fix is to bulk edit product tax settings in the backend to collect tax on all items eligible for pick-up. Similarly, verify that cities/towns get the right regional tax assigned to them, in all pickup areas as well.
