Is it essential to have a registered company to open a shopify store ?

Hi there , 

I am a newbie to the dropshipping business. I would like to know few things about this business. Here are some

1. Do I need any registered company for opening a shopify store ? I am an Indian who would like to open a store that sources goods from China and Supply it to US. If I dont need a company for opening the store what might be the complexities involved in opening the shopify store as an individual?
2. How can I get the following details asked by a payment gateway?
   1. Merchant ID
   2. Access code
   3. Secure Hash
3. What are the tax complications involved in profits obtained from Shopify store?
