Let international customer see the price included their local tax

Anyone know how to make the price showing on product page included customer local tax?

For example:

Our Shopify store located in Hong Kong, and we sell the product price in USD currency, and Hong Kong is NO TAX.

And now I have the product price USD100 (this price for product without any tax) for Hong Kong customer or any customer located in the country is NO TAX, if the customer come from UK, and UK have 20% tax, then we will charge this customer USD120 (product price USD100 + 20% UK tax = USD120), currently the shopify can only calculate the tax on checkout page, and I would like to let this UK customer see the price included tax on product page, and we want international customer can see the price with their local tax, this is very important to let customer see the price already included their local tax at product page, due usually the customer expect to pay the same price when they see at product page.

As I know shopify App "Geolocation" can automatically detect the customer location, is it possible to let the website detect the customer location, then showing the price with their local tax?

Hi, there I had similar issues,

We are based in the USA and shipped out to Uk. The customer got contacted by DHL to pay the 20% VAT before receiving the package. I contacted Shopify and they cant customize the DHL account in order to charge those taxes beforehand or at checkout but they recommended the 3rd Party App ZONOZ Tax and duties. This app will show the customer at checkout exactly how much tax, VAT to expect before they buy and they can decide if they want to pay upfront or when receiving the package. I think it's worth checking out.

I ended up now opening my own DHL account anyways so I have better control for customer support in case a package gets lost.

Hope this helps

Hi @Fabrik918

Thank you for your reply, I am now using opencart for my online shop, and I am going to change the website to shopify, I can let customer see the price included duties & taxes if I know the tax rate or some countries I don't know the tax rate excluded duties & taxes, then the price will show excluded duties & taxes, for sure this is not the default setting in opencart, but I'm curious, I can't find anyone asking this function here, you know this is very important to let customer to see the price included duties & taxes in product page not in the checkout page, usually customer see the price on product page, they don't expect to pay more for duties & taxes when they checkout; According to my experience, if customer checkout and see the price higher than the product page, more than 80% customer will not buy, so I must fix this issue before I launch the new online shop with Shopify.

Thank you.
