QuickBooks Point of Sale and Shopify Taxes

Do I really need to collect tax on Shopify?   Here is my scenario........

All of my purchases on Shopify will be entered into my QB Point of Sale as Shopify Account.  The QB POS calculates the state, county and city tax.  This data is then synced at END OF DAY to QB PRO Desktop.   As payments came in, it would be matched to the the charge that came from POS.  The two would not match with the difference being the unpaid tax and fees which I would set up accordingly.....maybe "online sales tax"  and "shopify services".   

Is there a better solution?

Sales tax is collected in the shopping cart which is what Shopify offers, so yes sales tax must be calculated and collected in Shopify.
