Sales Tax being removed at checkout from invoices

I am trying to figure out why all of a sudden my store stopped collecting sales tax. I will invoice a customer with sales tax being shown on the invoice and when they complete the purchase, the sales tax has been removed. I have not changed any settings to how I collect and I have checked that all the customers have charge taxes checked on their profile. Did Shopify change something that I am not aware of?

Same here, at POS on checkout sales tax shows up briefly then vanishes. What is happening?
