Financing, tax rates, and accounting
Moving a shop to Shopify that sells globally from Sweden B2C and B2B . I have solved issues with EU B2B sales using Exemptify app but I cannot understand how to solve trade with Norway. I have a VOEC registration in Norway and want to collect norwegian VAT from private consumers ( they expect this in order shop outside Norway) but I must not collect VAT from businesses. Basically Norway thus works as EU but I cannot get Exemtify app accept this. Are there any special settings for Norway that I have missed out?
Sorry for necroposting, but I'd be interested to know whether you got this working? If yes, any info to share on how?
No I did never get it to work and have closed for orders from Norway, it is way to complicated. Shopify promised to fix it but have not done it so far (as I know)
Thanks. Maybe DDP (delivery duty paid) is an alternative?
Here's an example of a shop using Shopify that allegedly has DDP for Norway:
That shop Silcavelo is in USA and shipping means there is duties for that shop to pay and there will be customs handling in Norway - the great thing with VOEC to private customers in Norway is that it is treated as a domestic freight - easy for customer.
