Shopify Tax

I have a question in regard to the new Shopify Tax that is coming 2023.

Are Shopify actually charging extra for calculating taxes on top of the $2500 per month subscription fee?!

I mean, Shopify aren't paying the taxes to each state, just calculating it.

For paying each state = Taxjar. For calculating economic nexus=Taxjar. So what are we paying Shopify for? Rooftop accuracy? 5 lines of code at 0.25% per transaction?

Am I missing something or is just greed to keep the shareholders happy?
