Financing, tax rates, and accounting
We are a store in Canada. When a customer in Arizona buys one of our items, I note that they don’t pay any taxes on the item. But when I receive my monthly invoice, our store as the seller is the one who pays the state and Arizona county tax. Why is that?
Hi @fourseasons ,
If you need to set up tax settings in Shopify to ensure you're collecting taxes for Arizona, follow these steps:
1. Go to your Shopify Admin.
2. Click on "Settings" at the bottom left of the dashboard.
3. Click on "Taxes and duties."
4. Select "United States" under the "Tax regions" section.
5. Under "Regions you're collecting in", click on "Add region" and select "Arizona" from the list.
6. Make sure to set up the tax rates for Arizona according to your business requirements. Shopify should handle the rates based on the state and county.
After completing these steps, Shopify will automatically collect the appropriate taxes from customers in Arizona at checkout.
If you need further assistance, feel free to reach out!
I hope this helps! If it does, please like it and mark it as a solution!

Sweans
