Taxes not collected in nexus- even though collect automatically is checked

Hello- new to Shopify! I have the “collect automatically“ tax option checked for all US domestic orders/shipping zones.
I’m based in Texas and had an order come in from Texas but tax wasn’t charged. Trying to figure out what happened? Has anyone experienced this?
I did a test order using another Texas address and taxes populated in the total. Could the order that didn’t get charged tax be a fluke even though it was in the home nexus?
Tried chatting with support, but didn’t get an answer!

I'm having the same issue.  We're in VA, and although I have the taxes set to collect automatically, Shopify is not adding VA tax to any orders shipping to VA. BIG PROBLEM!

Were you able to get any help from support? I don’t know how to fix it?
