Total Sales is Different compared to Payout

I might be calculating something wrong, but I was adding up all my expenses for my store's profit and it appears that my Payouts are off by a good amount Compared to my Total Sales. I know there are fees associated with processing and I can see those but I cannot seem to find where the rest of the amount is being taken from. I am making sure I am adding for the same month. Any clarification would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi there, @Chevelleguy572. Thanks for taking the time to reach out to the Shopify Community with your situation here. It's great to meet you! I'm happy to take some time to assist you with this question.

When things like this happen, it's usually because you have sales that are being processed through multiple processors (think Shopify Payments and PayPal). When you view your payouts within Shopify, if you have any payouts coming from a different processor, such as PayPal, those payouts don't appear listed within your Shopify Admin, as they're handled by a different processor. You can actually check your Analytics Reports to see what payment methods are used, like PayPal, and see if that is where the difference your noticing is appearing.

If you do some digging and are still unable to determine what's causing the difference, you can reach out to our Live Team using this link. Our Team will be able to authenticate you, and then login to your account, where they will be able to look into your payouts in more detail and help find the issue.
