I've been trying to update my EIN for several months with multiple emails to various parties at Shopify. I haven't had a single email replied to. I've reach out via phone support and no one really seems to be willing to help or care. Further I've reach out to support via live chat multiple times and they don't seem too interested in helping either.
Reading back over various posts about updating EIN's everyone at Shopify has the same response "our tax team are experiencing unusually high volumes right now". I don't understand how it is so difficult to update an EIN with Shopify. I've recently updated my EIN with Etsy and Afterpay and it was completed within 1 day.
If someone at Shopify is reading this I would appreciate your help. Please do not give your auto go to response that "our tax team is experiencing unusually high volumes right now".
