We need an invoice for the fees paid to shopify on all our payments. Where is this?

We need an invoice from Shopify for all fees charged on payments. Where is this and we do not need a CSV file or excel sheet. But an official Shopify headed paper invoice with a breakdown of the fees for accounting purposes. The fee is a charge that we have to pay to shopify even if shopify sees it as a deduction this still needs recording in our accounts.

Hey Ski Plus

Shopify doesn't really provide any reports or analytics on a letterhead. The numbers related to your Shopify Payouts are only available to either export into a CSV file (where you can total the column for the amount of fees paid) or you can screenshot it from your admin. There isn't anything that is available, even through escalated support channels that would provide you that on a Shopify letterhead document.

The fee paid by us for using Shopify payments is a charge and is seen by HMRC as a deductable cost. We need to report this cost and not by means of a CSV download file which could be manipulated by anyone. Either Shopify are not declaring the fees they are charging in the location they are based or something is amiss. Our previous payment provider Lloyds Cardnet for example would issue a statement every month with the fees we have paid and in which can be documented in our accounts. For shopify to charge a fee (this is a service which we are paying for and need receipt of said payment) and not issue any form of accountable record keeping seems absurd.

You can export the data to a CSV then save it as a PDF and submit it in that form to your accountant if you don't want to provide them an editable CSV file. Also a lot of spreadsheet applications will allow you to lock a CSV file so that it can't be edited without a password.
