Why can't I submit my business verification tax details?

I have been trying to submit my business verification tax details for a week now and it will not let me submit it only tells me its a server error but I get a email that my payment settings has been updated. I have tried several time to get this fixed, I only need my SS number. I am only individual /solo proprietor. I just started this and am just frustrated.

There's a possibility a local issue is preventing you from submitting your information, so I suggest performing some local troubleshooting steps to try to resolve the issue. Could you please perform the following and attempt to submit your details after doing each one? 

 

  • Clear the cookies and cache of your browser
  • Try a different web browser, as well as an incognito window or private browsing window to rule out any browser issues. If you are still experiencing the error using incognito, confirm you have disabled browser extensions as these can change how the pages look.
  • Ensure the web browser is up-to-date on the latest version.
  • Try another device, such as another computer or mobile phone.
  • Try another internet connection (switching to a cellular network on a phone rather than wifi, for example).
  • Ensure you do not have any firewalls or pop up blockers enabled on your device as these can interfere.

I have tried all of this and even did this in google chrome and still not working.

In this case, I would suggest navigating to our Help Center to speak with our live support about the situation. I Have done all of that and have been waiting a week now for help. It seems you all can not help people with this matter.

This makes this even harder to want to keep using Shopify and I am just trying to start out.
