why is shopify is collecting taxes on sales where I don't have a nexus?

hello, my settings say 

"You’re collecting sales tax in 100% (1 out of 1) states where you may be liable."

but when I make sales in other states, it is still collecting sales tax 

my last order, in the US, my customer was charged 4 different types of tax and they are not in the state where I am liable

is this right?

I thought I only had to collect where I have a nexus and I only have one nexus and I only added one nexus in shopify

thank you, I figured it out, in case anyone else reads this, if you have an instagram or fb shop, and the sale comes through there, taxes will be automatically collected and remitted by meta

Also to help with anyone else in this situation, here is what happens per an automatic update on my order where this recently happened: "Facebook & Instagram sales tax will be deducted from your Aug 30, 2024 payout." So, while at first it does show the tax collected coming into shopify with the order, it is then seemingly taken back by Facebook/Instagram from your payout.
