Upgrades to your Customers page

The Customers page of your Shopify admin is getting an upgrade. You can now search customers (again) and segment by customer metafields. The return of search and this new feature will help you get more personal with each customer interaction. 

Search customers

The ability to look-up customers by first name, last name, email, and phone number is critical to making sure you can deliver speedy value to every customer.

We heard your feedback after removing it, and we are bringing it back. Thank you for helping to shape the best tool for merchants everywhere.

You are able to search customers when the segment is set to “All customers”. Once you begin your search, the segmentation editor above will be disabled.

Create a segment using customer metafields

Taking action on your customer data is the foundation of a strong, customer-first brand. We are helping to power more personalized interactions with your customers using new filters to create customer groups - customer metafields. 

Click on the filters icon to see your list of metafields stored on customer profiles. Create a group of customers based on your custom buyer-attributes, and send them high-converting emails or use them to create a segment-specific discount.
