can not reconnect my domain after pausing my store
Hey to all,
I hope everybody is having a great time and business is booming.
I would appreciate some advice and help with my issue. I paused my store which was active for about 2 years, a couple of months ago. Everything was ok and normal I wanted to take a pause and come back later. I did come back last month, paid my subscription, and my domain is gone now I have the free version of my store (Shopify domain), I am trying to reconnect my domain, but Shopify is consistently refusing to do so, saying ownership can't be confirmed.
I raised this with support agents and nobody helped so far, they are saying that the domain is connected with another store (!!!) that is not mine (!!), and one agent said that this is domain squashing.
The very confusing part is that support is all the time saying that my domain is connected with another store or account and that I should log in BUT I am already logged in!
I am completely lost on this issue, nobody wants to help and they give me no solution, I am the sole owner of the domain that is with Namecheap until 2025,
Support agents are not helpful at all, no update on the open ticket although it was escalated weeks ago.
shopify agent told me today, that my store is connected with another merchant, although I proved ownership they still refuse to connect my domain back
