Hi Shopify Support,

I hope this message finds you well. I'm reaching out to address an issue I've encountered with the billing API when attempting to create a new recurring_application_charge. Specifically, I'd like to seek your guidance on testing my unpublished app, which includes the `read_all_orders` scope, against the billing API.

Here's a brief overview of the situation:

  1. I have a published app that I can successfully install on my testing store, allowing me to create recurring_application_charge without any issues.

  2. I've developed another app that is currently unpublished. During the application process for the "read_all_orders" access scope, I selected "Custom distribution." However, after installing this unpublished app on my test store, I'm unable to create recurring_application_charge due to 403 response.

  3. To troubleshoot, I created a fresh app without the "read_all_orders" access scope. Surprisingly, I can create recurring_application_charge without any problems after installing it on my test store.

Considering this, I'm curious to know if there's a way to create recurring_application_charge by installing an unpublished app with Custom distribution. Your insights and assistance in resolving this matter would be highly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and support.

Sincerely,

Kris

You address the questions to shopify support, maybe I should wait for them to reply you. Since you didn't ask us...
