Thank you!
I wish they can include more info in that report. Restock Date and restock amount... they have that info in the product page so not sure why they can't include it into the sku/variant report.
Hi @Wristwatch! Thank you for your question! Yes, we understand that low stock management and auto-replenishment are crucial features for efficient inventory management. These types of functionalities, including auto-populating a Purchase Order when product quantities reach a certain minimum, are indeed on our roadmap. We can't promise they will launch in the near future but it is in our teams radar.
In the meantime, if you are using Shopify POS and have a Pro location, you can leverage the POS inventory management solution (at the moment it's a first party app called Stocky) which has more robust replenishment options for POs. Learn more about this functionality in this Help Center article.

Hi Mariaacle,
Again you have used the same sentence twice now - that Stocky is an 'at the moment' app. Can you please confirm that Shopify is not removing Stocky - it is the best and most stable part of the entire system. Without Stocky our inventory would be unmanageable. It worries me greatly to see you imply that it may not be the long term solution. Can you confirm that Stocky will stay? Your choice of working really concerns us. Thank you for your clarification. (Screen shot of this post this time, as I see the first one seems to be gone now).
Can we get a global view of inventory, where in 1 screen we can see inventory in all our locations? Currently the inventory page only shows 1 location when you select it but if you export it it can show all the locations.
I just wish there's a way to conveniently see all the location's stock without exporting to csv for quick look ups. For example if we want to take a quick inventory check of all black shoes, we can use filter to pull that and quickly see where the inventory is and do a quick count if something is wrong.
also, can we get the same search bar/filter on the inventory page the same one used in the product page?
Thanks for your questions @Iniquity and apologies for the delay!
Global View of Inventory: Unfortunately, this is not possible using the Inventory view. For a specific product or variant, you can see inventory across locations by navigating to that item's page and scrolling down to the inventory card. Alternatively, you can see a high-level summary of inventory across locations on the Product page, but this also aggregates across all variants for the product. Our team is aware of this limitation though and hope to improve that global view in the future.
Search Bar/Filter on Inventory Page: Could you please provide more details on the differences between the product and inventory page search bars that you are referring to? This will help us understand your needs better and see if there are any potential improvements we can make.

The product page's search bar has more and different things you can filter out.
category, sales channel, marketing, collection, publishing error, gift card
just the main thing of can't filter out collection on the inventory page is important.
Also, on the product page, filter by tag the page will populate the closest tag that matches what you're typing but the inventory page doesn't populate so you have to guess or copy the same format the tag is.
Inventory History Guardian has this view, it logs the inventory level of every product variant at every location in your store once a day to help analyse and forecast stock levels. It also allows you to create inventory adjustments, add notes and see all adjustments across your store whilst being completely integrated with inventory in Shopify.
man i would want this but.... no reviews, $20USD/month for unlimited product history seems pretty steep for the limited function. Is this your app or you just found it?
