Discussing APIs and development related to customers, discounts, and order management.
We were told to ask here by App Review Specialist and Partner Support Specialist.
We’ve submitted our sales channel app for review and reviewers got back to us with a request that we use storefront access token to attribute orders created using cart permalink. We already did that following your documentation (https://shopify.dev/docs/apps/checkout/cart-permalinks/cart-permalinks#step-3-attribute-an-order-to-...) but the reviewer said that he can see “it is now appearing inside of the order but not in the order list”. He attached the following screencast for more details: https://screenshot.click/01-14-96519-92013.webm
We asked the reviewer what else we need to do beyond attaching access_token to which he answered that we should use your developer forums or contact Partner Support. There’s a similar unanswered question on the forum (https://community.shopify.com/c/technical-q-a/cart-checkout-sales-channel-attribution-not-working/m-...) but it’s not entirely the same.
From your documentation it seems like the only thing we need to do is append access_token query param to cart permalinks which we did. The screencast made by the reviewer also shows that the order detail correctly attributes our sales channel.
We also requested collaborator access to your reviewer’s store. That store has multiple orders made from multiple channels and all of them seem to be having the same problem. Unless an order was made from “Online Store”, the channel column in orders table is empty even though in the details of the order, the order is correctly attributed to that channel.
In addition, we tested other already approved sales channels apps and they all seem to be having the same problem. Is there anything on our end we can do to fix this? Or if this is a bug in Shopify UI?
Hi Linkesch!
If you want to make a usage billing plan you must include capped amount and terms. We have a bit more context on this in our developer docs here.
Hope this helps!
