Discussing APIs and development related to customers, discounts, and order management.
We have an LMS that delivers online training, which is why we have the Shopify frontend site to promote this training and so that users can purchase this product for multiple users, and therefore generates unique access codes for each user to access the course. Does Shopify allow this function via API integration? If so - how can it be implemented or is it a plugin/add on?
Any help much appreciated!
Looking at your problem I will recommend miniOrange Shopify SCIM - User/Course Sync Application.
With our app you can provide customers with two options.
Our application gives you the ability to purchase courses from the Shopify store that you can also gift or send to other people.
Once a buyer purchases a course from your Shopify store, he will be redirected to a dashboard in Shopify Store from where he can assign the courses to other people/ learners. He will only have to enter the email address of the user to which he wants to provide access and an automatic email will be sent to that user including a URL to that course. The URL will authenticate the user and will get access to that course. Also, if the user had purchased the course for himself then he’ll also get auto-enrolled.
You can also use our Store as IDP application, using which your users can access the LMS directly via their Shopify credentials. Some of the popular LMS with which we have integrated Shopify include Thinkific, Learnworlds, Canvas, Uscreen, etc.
Which LMS platform are you using?
