I just want to ask if it is possible to sign up into shopify with a UK ip address so I can benefit from shopify payments option putting into consideration that my trading address is in Egypt and I will be forming a company in the UK?
And I will link shopify payments with a Wise business account. Please inform me if it is possible and thanks in advance.
Hi @Hana2006yasser,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community! I'm happy to provide some assistance with locating a payment provider for the shop, to ensure this gets resolved.
To confirm I'm fully understanding, do you currently have physical operations (i.e an office) in the United Kingdom?
If not, I encourage you to check out this complete list of all available third-party payment providers in your region. Shopify has integrated with over 100 different third-party payment providers to allow you to continue accepting credit cards online.
For any questions that you may have regarding a specific payment provider, I encourage you to connect with them directly. They will be able to share more information with you and answer any other questions that you may have.
For more information on this, you can check our Third-Party Payment Providers documentation as it touches on this further.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Yes, you can sign up for Shopify from anywhere in the world — including using a UK IP address — but simply using a UK IP will not make you eligible for Shopify Payments UK.
To be eligible for Shopify Payments UK, here’s what you actually need:
UK-registered company (which you said you’ll form )
UK business bank account (like Wise Business is generally accepted )
UK proof of identity (passport, national ID) — can be a non-UK resident
Proof of address in the UK — This is the most common blocker. A utility bill or lease agreement in your name is often required. A virtual address alone usually won’t be enough.
If you don’t have proof of physical operations in the UK, Shopify may still decline your Shopify Payments application — even with a UK Ltd and Wise account.
In that case, you can use WallidPay instead. It’s a solid payment gateway option for:
UK LTDs run by non-residents
No UK utility bill required
Fast approval and reliable payouts to Wise, Payoneer, etc.
Signing up with a UK IP doesn’t guarantee access to Shopify Payments.
If you meet all UK Shopify Payments requirements (especially proof of address), you're good.
If not, use WallidPay — it’s built for non-UK residents with UK companies.
