Changing Invoice amount after customer pays due to payment time

So for how we sell to Amazon, we send them the invoice for their order, and they have 30 days to send their payment. However, if they pay us within those 30 days, they take off 2% of their payment to our company. We are having trouble finding a software or app that will let us edit those invoices, keep that order, and report it correctly through report pundit, which we use for reporting instead of shopify. We have other customers that do the same thing like Amazon, it was just the easiest and most common example of ours and we are not sure how to fix it.

Hello @-DM ,

There are several third-party apps that can help with invoice management and customization for Shopify like Sufio, QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho, etc.

On the other hands, you can export your invoices as a CSV file and then use a spreadsheet program like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets to make any necessary adjustments. Once you've made the changes, you can import the edited CSV file back into Shopify.

Here's how you can export your invoices as a CSV file:

  1. Go to Shopify Admin panel -> "Orders"
  2. Use the filters to find the Amazon orders that you want to export.
  3. Click "Export" and select "All orders" or "Selected orders" depending on your preference.
  4. Choose "CSV" as the file format
  5. Click "Export orders" to download the CSV file to your computer.

After you've edited the CSV file in your spreadsheet program, you can import it back into Shopify by following these steps:

  1. Go to Shopify Admin panel -> "Orders" -> "Import"
  2. Select the edited CSV file -> Choose "Orders" as the import type
  3. Map the CSV fields to the corresponding Shopify fields, such as order number, customer name, and order total
  4. Click "Import orders" to upload the edited invoices into Shopify.

Hope this can help. Let me know if you need any further supports.

Regards,

Jen.
