Dropshipping is a business model that lets you sell products by using a supplier.
Hi everyone.
I was wondering if there is a way to add a functionality to my shopify store to allow checkout only after the cart reaches minimum weight. For eg: the item variants have 25KG and 50KG as weight options. I want to allow checkout after the total weight reaches 200KG.
Thanks in advance.
Hello @kdchew ,
Seems yes, logic is you have to sum the weight of l items with JS and a/to the weight show/hide the checkout button. Also a/to the weight you can show a message to the customer so they will know why checkout is not available for them.
Thank you. I will try that.
Yes, that is what client requested to me.
Hello @kdchew, Have you got the solution? If not, then you can try the MultiVariants - Bulk order app.
You need to create a product in Shopify and under the main product create weights as variants that will be visible on the product page. So using the app, all the weights will display under the main product as variants and there will be a quantity selector for each type of item. Your customer can choose their own combination of all weights.
With this app, you can set the min and max quantity, so your customer must choose that quantity before going to the cart page. If you set a minimum quantity/weight as 200 KG then the customers need to pick a minimum of 200 KG, only then the “add to cart” button will work.
Additionally, through this app, you can apply restrictions for minimum-maximum values/prices, predefined bundles, interval quantities, limits on variants, and orders that can be achieved.
You’ll get 3 days of the trial along with great customer support for exploring all other features.
Here is the Sample product where the customer must choose quantities from different variants before going to the cart page and here is the Sample store with more available features.
