How can I offer carton lot discounts on my wholesale items?

Hi, Hoping someone can help. 

We are a wholesale company and want to be able to offer our customers the option to get a discount if they purchase carton lots of products, this way for example they buy a full box of 6 of the same size/colour item.

I can find where I can bundle and have them buy 6 get 5% off for example, but most of our products have multiple variants and the bundle allows them to swap and change the variants within the bundle price. 

We want it where they have to buy by the box (of same colour and size), not just the quantity. We are giving the discount because they are buying a product where we can just take a full box off the shelf, vs having to pick and pack individual items. 

Is there any option for this vs adding the products as their own 'bulk item' to our site, which will mean doubling up on skus etc..

You probably need a separate SKU for this or if possible a variant for the 6 pack. The only issue then is managing inventory. We have lots of our users who set up mult pack product bundles and then manage their inventory through our bundle app. If you set a unique sku for the multi pack then you can link its inventory to the single sku. We do it with 2 features:

1. Our app lets you connect up products to component SKUs and we then update their inventory based on the component stock level. So if your scenario the quantity available of the 6 packs will be calculated based on the single SKU stock level.
2. When you sell one of the bundles the stock level of the component won't reduce automatically. What we do is update the order post purchase by replacing the bundle order line with the component SKU as order line which then reduces its stock. This then feeds into point 1 above where it updates the 6 pack that contain these component SKU.

If you don't need the stock automated then no need for an app.
