Dropshipping is a business model that lets you sell products by using a supplier.
Hello,
I have a question about getting products into my store. I recently acquired a new supplier, my first actually. They have provided me with an enormous spreadsheet of over 1000 items available for me to sell from my store. How in the world do I #1, edit that down to the items I want (roughly 300) and then #2, import those into my store. I have recently saved the spreadsheet as a csv but it is far from the format that Shopify wants. Please help, it’s driving me insane!
Hi,
1. You have 2 options: a) think of a criteria and filter the list; b) filter the products manually 😞
2. This will need some creative work to transform the spreadsheet into the Shopify format.
Or you could ask for help.
We, at bcyd, specialise in this kind of work, migrating the data from different data sources into a system of your choice.
Thanks,
Hi @TheAmberRhino ,
I am developer of shopify app Feeds Bridge.
Feeds Bridge allows you to import products from different catalog feeds, all you need to do is map your file fields on Feeds Bridge file mapper and products from your file will be synchronized to your shopify store, meaning you won't need to restructure your file manually every time you want to import new products or update your products costs/ quantity. Feeds bridge also allows you to validate incomming data, set up pricing and grant access for your vendors so they can see incomming orders they need to fulfill.
In case you need to import up to 500 SKUS, you will be able to use Feeds Bridge completely free of charge.
In case you have any questions you can always contact me via email [email protected]
Simon, can feeds bridge handle mapping for multiple image links in one cell?
I have a supplier that refuses to place each image link in its own cell and states this is how they send the file to everyone and no one else has any issues importing.
thanks!
@Vaulte, currently it can't, but I can think of possible solutions for that. Feeds Bridge has possibility to apply field mutations on mapped fields, so I could implement additional function which would allow you to extract those images. contact me via email and I will explain it to you [email protected]
@Vaulte, I have already created split mutation rule, which allows you to handle images which are stored on single cell. So now it's possible to map images when all of them are provided on the same cell.
In case you have any questions you can also contact me via email: [email protected]
Thank you. I have downloaded the app Feeds Bridge and will try it out!
