Hi, I'm uploading products to our site using DSers and Ali Express, I'm reaching the  1,000 new variants per day limit after about 30 products, does anyone have a suggested work around for this please? Many thanks

Hi @hugs123

I see what you're dealing with, and I totally get how frustrating it can be to hit the 1,000 new variants per day limit, especially when working with DSers and AliExpress to bulk-upload products. Shopify enforces this limit to ensure system stability, but there are a few ways you can work around it depending on your specific needs.

Workarounds to Handle the 1,000 New Variants Per Day Limit:

  1. Spread Out Your Uploads
The simplest solution is to break your uploads into multiple days. If you're adding 30 products and hitting the limit, try uploading in smaller batches (e.g., 10-15 products per day) to stay within Shopify’s cap.

  2. Use Multiple Shopify Stores
If you're running a large dropshipping business, you might consider setting up multiple Shopify stores and then later merging inventory through a centralized store using an inventory management tool.

  3. Manually Upload High-Priority Products
If you have some products that need to go live immediately, you can manually add those first via Shopify’s product dashboard and let DSers handle the rest in the following days.

  4. Reduce the Number of Variants Per Product
If possible, optimize your product listings by reducing excessive variants (e.g., merging similar sizes or colors). Some products have dozens of unnecessary variants that can be consolidated.

  5. Use DSers' Bulk Import Scheduler
DSers has an option to schedule product imports. You can spread your product uploads across different time periods to avoid hitting the limit.

  6. Upgrade to Shopify Plus (If Feasible)
Shopify Plus users reportedly have higher API rate limits, but it’s a costly option that may not be suitable for everyone.

Alternative Approach:

If your products have an extreme number of variants, you might also consider using a third-party product management app like Matrixify, which can help with bulk product uploads while managing Shopify’s limitations.

Let me know if you need more details on any of these!
Best regards,
Daisy.

Hi @hugs123 !

Thank you @DaisyVo  for the mention!

Matrixify does have a way you can work with the limit. Matrixify has an option where you can set Matrixify to automatically import the next 1000 items the next day until all of your Products are Imported - here is more information on how that would work
