How to inventory skus effectively for backend picking

Hey all. We have a product that has an offer where we add a second box to the order. What is happening on the backend is that its technically 2 items so our sourcing charges 2 picking fees because they are essentially 2 sku(s) separated on lines. When the upsell is accepted now it turns into 3 items. When it sends to fulfillment it itemizes these and now we are charged 2 or 3 picking charges.

I am looking for a possible solution to keep the offer the same but some how on the backend when someone orders it converts the 2/3 sku(s) into 1 to help with the additional picking fees. We already have them prepackaged but its not in alignment with what fulfillment center needs to see.

Are they any programs that can convert this into 1 sku or is there any guidance on how to ensure the backend breaks down into (1) package product but customer facing is still itemized?

Hey @TeamQuickly  A great solution would be to use a bundling app that can group multiple SKUs into one virtual SKU on the backend, while still displaying each item separately to the customer. Apps like Bundle Builder or Simple Bundles & Kits can help by allowing you to sell multiple items as a single bundle SKU in your fulfillment setup. This way, your fulfillment center sees it as a single pick-and-pack, which should help reduce picking fees

I appreciate the insights! Are you family with implementing this strategy in a shopify store and if so how can we connect deeper?

@TeamQuickly  Yes, I'm definitely familiar with implementing this strategy in a Shopify store! I'd love to connect further and discuss how we can work together to bring your vision to life

Okay we can talk deeper but I just spoke with a few different apps and they all claim what I need to do isn;t quite possible. I am not looking to bundle the products we are a single item store at the moment. What I need is when multiple quantities come through for example

What I need is a solution where when someone orders products this order post sale gets changed into a single sku to be sent to fulfillment

emaple

Product 1 (cream) -this has a SKU in the store
Product 2 (free Cream in offer)- this has a SKU in the store

Product 3 (upsell to additional cream)  this has a SKU int he store

On this order there will be 3 skus
currently and it is being sent to fulfillment as 3 skus meaning that I am being charged to pick 3 items and since our packages at the fulfillment center are already setup for 1 of 3 variants we are not have congruency in orders

I want to convert this into 1 sku item of 3 creams (as an example)

so then fulfillment just has to pick the (1) product that has all 3 creams)

this will be based on my packages already structured in the fulfillment center based on my most sold amounts of 3 and 4

So you have any strategies when I break it down like this? The companies you referenced are not able to do this. They can only bundle customer facing and in the cart it looks like a bundle vs itemized for customer
