Hello everyone,

For the past 3 months, I’ve been deeply immersed in learning dropshipping, marketing, Facebook Ads, and similar topics. I spend many hours every day on this, and about a month ago, I launched a Shopify store. My first product was a flop, and so were the second and third ones. I picked them myself using various tips and strategies, but now, with time and experience, I see they weren’t the best choices for selling.

Now I’m working with a fourth product. It’s a cosmetic product that sells around 1,000 units per week on another dropshipping store. I decided to copy their store and ads to take a piece of the pie for myself and make some profit.

In the past, I’ve worked on building websites using WordPress and page builders, as well as running Facebook Ads and Google Ads, so learning how to replicate the setup wasn’t an issue for me.

So, I went for it, but to my surprise, after spending $200 on ads, I didn’t get a single sale. I had 5 add-to-cart actions, 3 initiated checkouts, but 0 completed purchases.

Could someone please help me? The product is proven because it’s selling well on another store, and I copied their ads, yet it’s not working for me. I’ve been learning this for a few months now, and I thought I knew a lot, but it turns out I (probably) don’t know anything. I’m open to collaborating, and I’d even consider sharing a percentage of my profits if someone can help me make it work.

Best regards.

P.S. Overall, I’ve had 21 add-to-cart actions, 15 initiated checkouts, and still 0 sales.
P.S.2 If there’s a kind soul who can help me, I promise to find a way to repay the favor someday. Have a great day!

Hey there!

I completely understand your frustration, as I've been through a similar journey myself. It's tough when you're putting in all the work and still not seeing the results you expect.

It sounds like you're doing a lot of the right things already, but maybe a  slightly different approach would work!

A strategy I ended up using that helped me through this rough patch is utilizing a dupe strategy. I linked one of the articles about it here: How to Grow Your eCommerce Beauty Brand Using the Dupe Mentality.

It covers some great strategies on positioning your product in a way that resonates with your audience, which could help with converting those add-to-cart actions into actual sales.

Maybe there’s something in there that will help you tweak your approach! Don’t lose hope! I wish you the best of luck on your business journey!

P.S. Check out the blog’s website, maybe you can find something you like there or another useful strategy guide!

Hi @Blasterm92 ,

I understand your situation. To help you overcome your sales problems, I need to look at your website and learn a little bit about your ads.

The number of reasons for no sales are really high:

It could be due to: poor product, low-quality images, incorrect product descriptions, no customer reviews, SEO issues, checkout issues and many more.

I request you to please provide your website URL and I shall assist you promptly.

Hey,

After reviewing the website thoroughly, I found there are certain areas you must improve upon. Highlighted them below:

  1. The site only features the "Sanlivna - Korean beauty kit," and there isn't any other product. This can lead to customers not believing in your product and can move on with your competitors offering a wide range of similar products.
  2. I have also noticed there is lack of detailed product information. Shoppers are picky when it comes to beauty products and they wan to know every detail about the product, what does it do, it’s ingredients, hwo to use, etc. Please provide all the necessary details that makes the buyer well-informed before purchasing the product.
  3. Include videos showcasing the product, its packaging, and real-life usage of the product.
  4. Display trust badges, secure payment icons, and clear return policies can alleviate concerns about online shopping. Providing information about shipping times, customer support, and company background can also build trust.
  5. I don’t find social media icons as well. For beauty products, social media marketing is prominent, potential buyers would check your social media pages, comments, and user-generated content would further understand more about your product. Do work on social media content.

Additional changes to be done on the website:

The feature image on the website, has hashtags displayed prominently. These hashtags do not convey any value to the potential buyer. Please remove them and provide benefits of using your product.

As mentioned, product description must have comprehensive information.

The content shown on the image below, adds no value, it’s talking about so many things. Please research competitor websites, include USPs of your product, and bring some structure to the page page content.

The image shown below, signals about other products available below, but the products are not shown. Please remove this text, it is misleading the buyers.

Finally, the logos shown on the website main page also add no value. Ensure to add some relevant text and please chnage the icons.

I would highly recommend you research about the product more, add more similar products, revamp the website, and then try it out!

Hope this was of help.

Hello again.
I have fixed many things on the site and followed your advice. Could you please check my store again and comment on this before I run ads on it?
Can you please check my main page store https://mysanlivna.com
Main product which will be advertised https://mysanlivna.com/products/sanlivna-korean-beauty-kit
Other products that will be on the website as a complement to the store https://mysanlivna.com/products/heartleaf-skincare-set-facial-toner-remove-makeup-facial-serum-moist...
when I get back from work I will add a "suggested products" widget which will be displayed under the product description and on the cart page as "add quickly"
Thanks for help 🙂

Hey,

I see that you have made changes. But, it needs further improvements.

There's no consistency in the font size used on the featured image. Please check.

Screenshot 2025-02-11 101833.png

Also, change the font color of the product description, it is too light, making it difficult to read.

The product description still sounds the same. You should write about the product, what it does, try to avoid 'thanks to unique....' or 'clinically proven', and so on. I strongly recommend researching further and adding valuable information. Please remove the current one entirely.

And I see that you have added reviews section twice in the same page. Keep it to only one section.

About the video, you've used different models in the same video, it looks like you have inserted clips from other videos. And the models must be using your product to demonstrate the quantity of the product to be used, how, and so on. Please create a new authentic video.

The theme has elements that are not aligned with the brand colors but are not aesthetically pleasing. Try to implement the premium theme.

Finally, do not go for ads so soon. Try to bring organic traffic and once you are confident about the product and there's consistency in sales. Then you can definitely plan paid ads. Additionally, you can also use Google's free product listing ads (that are entirely free).

Hello.
First problem. I cant find any video of the product. Im searching in tiktok, yt, google, instagram
Second, im make 2 reviews because under product i have carousel reviews with pictures and at the bottom i have full reviews of product. Should i delete one of them?
Im change font size, font color and style, product description and make product tabs.
Right now im trying to add google free product listing.

Can you tell me if there is any chance of selling it or should I change some things to be more authentic?

I'd like to offer a different thought process. When building your brand, ask yourself, "what value am I bringing to the world", or think of a way to do something different / better.

That will usually bring you more success. If you're just copying other stores, you're not adding any additional value to customers.

I built a brand myself, ran a store for 7 years, and worked with hundreds of Shopify stores along the way. Saw what works and what does not. In dropshipping, a few things I remember that worked well:

- a unique advantage (ex: having a partner with a strong social media presence)

- building a community (ex: make a rewards system, referral bonuses, be active in the community your customers are in some way, etc)

- have an expert marketer on the team

- create a hybrid system where you have both dropshipped products + your own products

Good luck.
