hi i have just started my online store yesturday and was wondering is it normal to not have sales now as i have 78 sessions, is it just social media making my expectation to high
Hi, @atyn43.
Thank you for reaching out!
It is not uncommon for new online stores to experience a lack of sales in the early stages. Building an online presence and attracting customers takes time and effort. It is important to set realistic expectations and understand that it may take some time before you start seeing consistent sales. Social media can play a role in generating traffic to your store, but it is not the sole factor determining sales. Other factors such as website design, product selection, pricing, and marketing strategies also contribute to the success of an online store.
While it is normal to not have immediate sales, there are several factors you can consider to improve your chances of generating sales in your online store:
1. Product pricing: Ensure that your product prices are competitive and aligned with market standards. Unrealistically low prices may raise suspicions among potential customers.
2. Product selection: Offer a variety of products that cater to your target audience's needs and preferences.
3. Website design: Create an attractive and user-friendly website that is easy to navigate and showcases your products effectively. Consider optimizing your website for mobile devices as well.
4. Marketing strategies: Develop a comprehensive marketing plan that includes various channels such as social media, email marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), and paid advertising. Experiment with different strategies to find what works best for your target audience.
Those reccomendations above are a great place to start on optimizing your store. Remember, building a successful online store takes time and effort. It is important to continuously analyze and optimize your strategies based on customer feedback and market trends.
