Need to force customers to order a specific quantity - App Needed

We are a business-to-business wholesale company. All of our products are sold by the case and the case quantity varies for each product.

Does anyone know how to force customers to purchase a specific quantity?

I'm NOT looking to force a minimum or max quantity.  I just need to force them to order in quantities of 12 or 24 or 100, or some other pre-determined amount. I saw it displayed below on a different site and thought it looked nice. Does anyone know of any apps that would display it the same way? (I don't even need it to display the dollar amount, just the set quantity).

To complicate things further, we also offer bulk discounts so would need the same app or another app that works with it. So if you buy 10 cases of 100 (or 1000 units) the per piece price drops to x dollars. (Not a set percentage or discount across the board but a specific set price)

Any suggestions from other B2B companies or those that only sell full cases of items would helpful!

Thanks!

Drop ship is per customer purchase. Wholesale is in allotment. I ran into
it with a china based company on their website it stats minimum quantity to
purchase for each item. You may want to try that.

So put in the description 1 case = 12 pcs and price by case eg. 1 case = £100, 2 cases = £180

Then on the next one put 1 case = 20 pcs and price as needed, 1 case = £150, 2 cases = £280

I don't see the need to have it display the quantities in the dropdown (12, 24,26) when it can display the quantity of cases (1, 2, 3) and say how many items are in a case in the item description.

Though if you want to pay extra for an app go for it if your happy.

That won't work for us. In order to tie it into our ERP system I need the order to come in through as individual units - so a quantity of 100 or 200 units, not 1 or 2.

Hi @Neil61
Did you find any app for this or not?
Also, do you need to show the case quantity for all products or for specific products?
We are going to build this app 🙂 and also what else do you want to control from quantity like multiple for X i.e 6,12,24,48 etc

Hello,

I still have not found an app that does this yet.

I need to show the case quantity for all products but it varies for each. Some products are sold in cases of 100, some 24, some 144. We have around 1000 skus (many are variations of a product like size or color) each with a set case quantity.

And on top of that, we have quantity discounts that vary for each item. So some items have price breaks at 1000 units, some 500 units, etc.

Our old website (which was on Magento) it showed a little summary on the product page next to the quantity dropdown box showing what the breakdown would be and would update each time you selected a different quantity.

An example, quantities shown in the dropdown would be 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, etc

So if you selected 100 units (1 full case) of an item it would show:

SUMMARY

Unit Price: $0.50

Items per Case: 100

Subtotal: $50.00

If you selected 1000 units (10 cases) which is where the price break would occur it would show:

SUMMARY:

Unit Price: $0.40

Items per Case: 100

Subtotal: $400.00

Are there any other B2B companies on shopify that need forced case quantity ordering and also offer quantity price breaks (that aren't based on a set percentage)? What are you using to show this?

Thanks for providing the details.
I already started work on this app and hope by this week I will submit it to Shopify and it will be approved within 1 week or so. I will update you once my app approved so you can use it and give me feedback.
Thanks

Hi Neil, in case you haven't found a solution yet, you can create case packs (or make sure that customers order in specific increments using our app Simple Bundles. First, you create product variants (e.g. 12pack, 24pack, 36pack) and bundle the individual products in those increments so that your retailers can choose from a dropdown with those variant options. When they add the product variant (e.g. 12pack) to cart, they'll just see that variant and you'll see on your Admin > Orders that the retailer has purchased 12x the individual product and also decrement the inventory. Hope that's helpful! Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.

Here are some examples:
