Remove password protection from Shopify Plus wholesale store

Hi,

I would like my primary webshop to include the features offered in the B2B Wholesale webshop on Shopify Plus.

We're about to upgrade, and I would like to know in advance, if it is possible to unlock the password protection in order to use the wholesale store as the open 'primary' store.

Our customers are mainly B2B, so the wholesale functions are great, but I don't want to give them a code every time they enter. They should just be able to order online without making contact with our sales department.

Yes, we have a Shopify plan and will move to Shopify Plus very soon.

There could be 2 possible solutions for this query. Correct me if I misunderstood your requirements:

1) Using the "Locksmith" app and protecting that wholesale page from normal customers.

2) Using the custom coding in such a way that each customer requires to create an account to view that wholesale page. Once the account is created, you can assign that customer a specific tag. 

We will be adding a condition in the theme code that only person with that specific tag. e.g., "wholesale" can access that wholesale page. In this way, customers won't have to contact your sales team every time. 

You can also mention on your store that you manually assign the tag to each customer and send an email to him/her confirming that the tag has been assigned and they can shop on your site
